This is a study of the Trinity, or the Triunity of God. Perhaps the best and simplest definition of the Trinity is that there is only one God, but in the unity of the Godhead there are three eternal and co-equal Persons; the same in substance or essence, but distinct in subsistence or existence. This has been a major area of conflict concerning the Scriptures.
