MBS 124 - The Ten Symbolic Actions of Jeremiah the Prophet by Dr Arnold Fruchtenbaum
God sometimes asked His prophets to do strange things in order to visibly portray a truth that He wanted His people to know. For example, He had Isaiah the prophet walk naked for three years. He had Ezekiel lie on one side for a year and then on the other side for a number of days. He asked Hosea to marry a prostitute. God asked prophets to do different things to symbolize doctrine and to symbolize what God was going to do to or for the people to whom the prophecy was addressed. In the Book of Jeremiah there are ten such symbolic actions.
