This is a study of Jeremiah, chapters 30 through 33. These four chapters within the Book of Jeremiah are one unit. This one prophetic discourse is called the Book of Consolation because that is its main theme: consolation for Israel. Through most of his book, Jeremiah has been majoring on judgment and minoring on blessing. In these four chapters, he majors on blessing and minors on judgment.
